I grew up in Mumbai amid the 'Bollywood craze'. Fell in love with the art of filmmaking at an age I can't even recollect. Driven by the love and passion for films, had decided to be part of the creative industry at an early age. I directed my first short film in my junior college, with the help of a few friends and my father's old handy-cam. Be it writing, directing, shooting, editing, colour grading, sound design and mixing, I self-taught myself the whole process of creating a motion picture with the help of the internet.
I was so addicted to the magic of cinema that I had over 25 independent short films to my credit when I completed my bachelor's degree in Mass Media.

Eight months of trying to get an opportunity to gain professional exposure, I finally got my chance to be part of the National award winning film 'Pink' as an Assistant Director. Being on the sets of 'Pink', in true sense, was a film school for me. Learnt a lot from the industry's best technicians. I had finally entered the world of cinema, which I had always dreamt of. My journey in ad films began when I continued assisting the director, Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, on a couple of TV commercials. I went on to assist a few more directors, having done maximum projects with director Prashant Bhagia as his Chief AD and DA.

With all the knowledge and experience I had gained along the way, one fine day I firmly decided to start working on my first directorial venture and I started writing a script. After months of developing a script followed by a year long hunt for a producer, finally Nitya Media LLP agreed to produce 'Vrutti' - my debut feature film as a Writer, Director and Editor. My film had its Australian Premiere at IFFM and the World Premiere at IFFSA, Toronto of 2021. The film went on to win the Audience Choice Best Feature Film award at DCSAFF, Washington DC in 2022. Vrutti, which released exclusively on YouTube on 14 March 2023, has received overwhelming positive responses and critical appreciation by the viewers at the film festival screenings and on the streaming platform. 

I started working as a Creative Producer for a production house and executed many television and digital commercials for well-known brands. I gradually moved to what I love doing the most - Direction.

I am currently working as a freelance Director, constantly seeking better opportunities to bring a brand's vision to life with my storytelling skills. Simultaneously, I am also in the process of writing my second feature film and first web series.
